About Kayla Walsh
As an Aviation Maintenance Company Commander, I lead a cross-functional team of over 260 soldiers and civilians to provide maintenance and logistical support for 47 helicopters. As the Brigade Direction of Future Operations, I oversee the development and execution of aviation operations and contingency plans for the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade. My mission is to ensure the safety, readiness, and effectiveness of the aviation assets and personnel under my command, and to contribute to the defense and security of our nation and its allies. I am passionate about learning new languages and cultures, having studied Portuguese at the Universidade de Coimbra in Portugal, continue to volunteer with A Door To Hope in Haiti, and conducted research to improve the Education System in the Marshall Islands.
