ABOUT KAYE PUHLMANN
Over 20 years of experience leading product, UX, and design teams. I co-founded Storybird.com, a publishing and writing platform and leader in the online English Language Arts space. I worked primarily on product, design, growth, strategy, analytics, and student and child privacy policy spanning three continents. Our user base grew 10 to 40% annually to members, and during that time I optimized the onboarding, email messaging, rewards/badging/coinage systems, and engagement loops with students, teachers, and parents. I also oversaw the design and implementation of the brand identity, and worked closely with the development team to overhaul the commerce, analytics, and community moderation platforms. My business partner and I successfully exited Storybird in 2017.Prior to Storybird, I was a Vice President at Critical Mass and led design for Citibank USA, and Citigroup for seven years along with at team of 50 creatives spanning the globe. I also spent several years in Vancouver as a Creative Director with Blast Radius, leading design for Nintendo in North America, as well as other gaming and electronics companies on the West Coast. During my time with these agencies, I helped build products and design teams for numerous other fortune 500 corporations.
