The Black Girls’ and Young Women’s Collective strives to transcend adversity by presenting opportunities for Black girls, young women, and gender expansive youth, aged 11-22, to share their perspectives and feel valued as leaders in their communities. The Center for Healthy Families recognizes the multifaceted nature of this demographic and aims to empower them by providing a space for advocacy and service.

Kayden Edwards is a driven and service-oriented leader pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management at Howard University.She is passionate about mentorship, community empowerment, and creating sustainable economic opportunities. Kayden is especially committed to building wealth in underserved communities through real estate ownership and development. She is currently researching how real estate, particularly in hospitality and affordable housing, can be leveraged to build economic capacity in developing nations and historically marginalized communities.As a student leader and advocate, Kayden is eager to continue learning from professionals across commercial real estate, supply chain, and hospitality, and is actively seeking mentorship and opportunities to grow in these spaces.
