ABOUT KAY LACK

Roughly every hundred years, we pass the knowledge needed to maintain civilisation from one generation to another. We do this not through telling, but by helping people understand for themselves what we have come to know. In this process — education — we open up a profound space to challenge our ideas, grow as people, and connect with each other. I lead the training team at Makers. We\'re finding new ways to think about technical education, from apprenticeships tailored to the exact tech of the job, through training the skills to navigate complex codebases, to challenging talented engineers making the transition to leadership. In the process, we\'re launching thousands of careers and helping the world\'s most ambitious organisations grow the teams they\'ll need a decade from now.
