ABOUT KAVYA SETH

Having completed my graduation in Commerce and Law, I started working as a Legal Associate and even though I was doing well at it, I realized that the aspects of my knowledge I found most rewarding were in the business world. During the pandemic, my sister and I launched our own startup of a home-based bakery. We both were involved with the baking of goods and also promoting the brand, managing the social media and getting new clients which resulted in us crossing over a hundred orders in the first few months This venture made me realize my actual potential in the field of marketing and with that in mind, I undertook Global Business Management with a specialization in Marketing at Humber College My past education and experience helped me acquire professional skills such as- Communication skills- My degree and work experience in the field of law has taught me to present convincing arguments, establish trust with clients, gain better understanding of their needs and the ability to pitch my ideas and thoughts in front of small or large groups comfortably- Analytical skills- I have had the experience of researching on legal matters, finding relevant case laws and analyzing and summarizing them while working as a Legal Associate. I was also able to gain a loyal customer base for my startup by assessing the market requirements and developing social media strategies accordingly to build the brand- Problem solving- My varied experience as a Legal associate and then as a Marketing Manager of my startup pushed me to adapt to new changes, brainstorm to deal with last minute crisis and resolve client disputes.
