About Kavya Parikh

I am a Third Year Integrated MSc Biotechnology Student (Bioinformatics & Data Science) specializing in computational biology, neuroscience, and early-stage drug discovery. My current research (Dissertation) focuses on the computational identification of peptide-based inhibitors targeting α-synuclein aggregation, integrating molecular docking and structural analysis.I have also contributed to multiple scientific writing and editorial projects, including manuscript refinement, scientific communication, and poster design. I’m particularly interested in how computational methods can be combined with a bit of wet-lab and imaging approaches to understand neurodegenerative mechanisms such as misfolding, aggregation, and synaptic dysfunction. In addition to academics, I hold 3 certifications in Hindustani Classical Music, from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, achieving First Class in all three exams I have appeared for.
