I was involved in the Sentara-OptimaAPI modernization project using QNXT and FHIR, focusing on enhancing healthcare IT systems. My responsibilities included developing and testing HL7 integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange across systems. I implemented FHIR integration for Sentara healthcare objects and developed EPIC SMART on FHIR applications to extend EPIC\'s capabilities, enhancing user experience with tailored clinical decision support tools and patient engagement features.I developed and implemented FHIR APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between healthcare systems and applications. Additionally, I created modular UI components using Blazor\'s component-based architecture, which improved code maintainability and scalability. Utilizing FHIR resources such as Patient, Practitioner, Observation, and Condition, I modeled and exchanged healthcare information in a standardized format.I also created Azure functions for existing large services, transitioning them into individual microservices for better scalability and organization. My experience includes extensive HL7 data mappings and troubleshooting of interfaces during pre and post-integration phases. Furthermore, I configured EPIC modules and workflows to meet specific organizational requirements, optimizing clinical and administrative processes.
