From Stethoscope Dreams to AI Realities: My Journey Through Med Tech & AI 🧠I always thought my future involved a stethoscope—turns out, I ended up diagnosing data instead of patients. The plan was simple: study hard, don a white coat, and help people. But then life threw me a curveball—Artificial Intelligence. The more I learned, the more I realized I could still make a meaningful impact, just in a way I never expected. Building AI to Make a Difference 🩺🤖During an internship, I built a machine learning engine to diagnose Dengue fever. With cases rising, I wanted to help. The result? A web app that helped 500+ patients get diagnosed faster. That’s when I realized: I didn’t need a stethoscope to save lives—I needed algorithms. Exploring Signals, Sound & Neuromorphic AI In undergrad, I worked on a neuromorphic system fusing Biology, VLSI, and AI, sparking my fascination with signals—biological, computational, and audio. At TATA ELXSI, I developed Audio AI models for sound processing, immersive audio, and generative AI. Whether diagnosing diseases or enhancing soundscapes, I learned that signals tell stories—you just have to listen. Pushing Boundaries at UC San Diego & The Salk Institute I pursued a Masters transitioning from Linear Regression to LLM. My research in Medical Image Segmentation was recognized at SPIE Conference, proving real-world impact. At The Salk Institute, I merged brain signals with AI, applying reinforcement learning and computational biology to build smarter, more efficient systems. Basically, I trained AI to think like a brain—minus the caffeine dependency. 🧠Scaling AI in Real-World Applications Building AI is half the battle—the real challenge is scaling it.
