About Kavan Mehta
In recent years we have seen the digitalisation of the majority of domains and we expect that number to reach new heights in upcoming years. This increases the amount of data generated and also it’s complexity, usage of advanced computing-based applications Is quite an accurate solution. One such application “Cloud Computing” that caught my attention during my undergrad. If someone asks me what is it, I do not stick to textbook definitions instead I quote one of the great think tanks late Steve Jobs \"I don’t need a hard disk in my computer if I can get to the server faster… carrying around these non-connected computers is byzantine by comparison.\" Another such application that fascinated me was “blockchain”, I was so interested and eager to explore its various possibilities and application that I developed my final year project named “SRMcoin” a cryptocurrency. It is developed using python, javascript and solidity. It has its own mining algorithm which is secure and comparatively easy to mine. While going forward with this bundle of experience I got recruited in Infosys. Initially, I was trained in.Net technology along with the database and its concepts and at the end developed a 2048 game as my final project. Later, got converted into a full-time and have good experience of 1 year in web development. Worked for Charles Schwab in an Agile environment. I worked on developing web services using.NET frameworks. The language used for developing these web services was C# and the database used was DB2 and aerospike. I am currently pursuing a Master\'s degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Arlington specializing in Software engineering and Advanced Database (Cloud).
