About Kaustubh Khanke

Kaustubh is a seasoned product leader at AWS and works on Amazon Bedrock, a Gen AI inference service. Bedrock, one of the fastest growing services in AWS’ 20+ years of history, has tens of thousands of customers. Kaustubh joined the Bedrock team in the lead up to the service’s general availability in 2023 and currently has the second longest tenure on the product team. He started off as a single threaded product leader for Bedrock’s engagement with Anthropic. Since 2024, he has taken on additional responsibilities to manage the relationships with other third party foundation model providers like OpenAI, Meta, Mistral, Cohere, Stability, AI21, Luma, Poolside, Writer, and Twelve Labs. He has built a team of high performing product managers from the ground up that manages these third party foundation model provider relationships and has delivered several high visibility launches over the past 2 years. Some of the noteworthy launches include foundation models like OpenAI gpt-oss-120B/20B, Anthropic Claude 2.1/3/3.5/4/4.1, Meta Llama 3.1/3.2/3.3/4, Mistral Large/Small/Pixtral, Cohere Embed v3/Command/ReRank, Stable Diffusion 3/3.5, AI21 Jamba, Luma Ray 2, Poolside Malibu/Point, Writer Palmyra 4/5, and Twelve Labs Marengo/Pegasus, and features like prompt caching, API keys, and citations.Prior to Bedrock, Kaustubh spent 3 years on the Amazon Transcribe team where he was the single threaded product leader for contact center AI analytics. During his time in the Transcribe organization, he worked closely with engineering and science teams on cutting edge ideas, which resulted in a patent for a machine learning based project. In addition to the 5+ years that Kaustubh has spent in AWS, he has also worked in Amazon’s Stores (Retail/eCommerce) business for 2 years. Kaustubh’s combination of business and technical acumen comes from his MBA and Bachelor of Technology degrees, and 3 years of software engineering experience at NetApp. Kaustubh is passionate about growing businesses from 0 to 1. His 7 year track record in AWS speaks to this as he has launched three new AWS services and grown businesses to millions of dollars in revenue and tens of thousands of customers. Kaustubh also has extensive public speaking experience, having presented at 4 AWS re:Invent conferences.
