In my current role (over a year now), I’ve been heavily involved in a major project where we migrated a large,monolithic application from on-premise servers to a fully containerized setup on Google Kubernetes Engine(GKE). As part of the migration, I built Jenkins pipelines that automatically create all the infrastructure usingTerraform—this includes virtual machines, storage buckets, PostgreSQL databases, and the GKE clustersthemselves. I used a mix of tools like gcloud CLI, Terraform, and Jenkins to automate and streamlineeverything. While my main focus is DevOps, I also stepped into Data Engineering tasks when needed. I created ApacheAirflow (Composer) DAGs to schedule and run data pipelines, wrote SQL scripts for transforming data, andbuilt some Python scripts that work with GCP services via the gcloud command. I’ve worked across the full stack of DevOps tasks—CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, andautomation—and also contributed to data workflows, giving me a well-rounded understanding of both systemsand data.
