   Key responsibilities in my role as a Sr. Research Associate at Duke Center for Brain & Spine Metastasis (DCBSM) involve: Establish & oversee the core facility dedicated to conduct preclinical research for brain metastasis (BrM) and spine metastasis. Generate immunocompetent (syngeneic) and immunocompromised (non-syngeneic) tumor models of BrM either by intracranial implantation or intracardiac injection of tumor cells of several solid tumor types (particularly breast and lung cancers and melanoma) to determine efficacy and/or pharmacokinetics of potential therapeutics (including but not limited to immunotherapy) and design studies aimed at unraveling underlying molecular mechanisms promoting tumor growth. Lead and manage projects via drafting proposals (or letter of intent), preparing budgets, designing and executing studies followed by data analysis, interpretation and presentation. Provide expertise and consultation on in vivo studies involving BrM to our academic and industrial partners.
