I believe people who work in Finance are given a glorious burden to perform, but often they fail to recognise that the true glorious burden is not just to perform, but to instigate transformation. That in itself is the glorious purpose, to be the future of a world and shape the flow of resourcesm to build those things exciting and worth remembering. After building AI-powered deal-sourcing tools at Successr Capital and coding market-beating factor models at ORIM Advisors, I’ve learned that numbers are only valuable when they unlock human potential. Each project has left me with bigger questions, and the curiosity to chase the answers. My next chapter? Joining a London-based private-equity or VC firm that sees technology as an amplifier of judgement and ESG as a source of value, and not just a metric. I want to help scale ideas that create both outsized returns and positive impact, ultimately synergize Human Intelligence at its finest. The foundations are in place: an MSc in Investment & Finance from Nottingham Business School, a 144 % revenue turnaround for a career-tech start-up, and a student-led Futuristic procurement roadmap for Jaguar Land Rover. Yet what excites me most is how much I still have to learn, whether it’s decoding new behavioural-finance research, stress-testing Python libraries, or sparring over term-sheet structures with mentors who push me harder than I push myself.
