At Walmart, working with Marketplace Payments team, I spearheaded the development of high-performance Kafka pipelines, leveraging Apache Kafka to enable seamless data streaming and real-time processing across applications, data systems, and data warehouses. This centralized data hub significantly enhanced Walmart’s data management and decision-making capabilities by supporting real-time ingestion, transformation, and delivery of payments data for the Marketplace platform.I worked extensively with Java and Python to design, optimize, and troubleshoot distributed systems, ensuring resilience and low-latency performance. My role also involved leveraging GCP BigQuery for large-scale data analysis and reporting, and using Cassandra to handle high-velocity transactional data with reliability and fault tolerance. To ensure scalable and portable deployments, I containerized applications with Docker and orchestrated them using Kubernetes, enabling efficient scaling and streamlined CI/CD workflows.Through this experience, I strengthened my expertise in distributed data systems, containerized microservices, streaming architectures, and large-scale analytics, contributing to Walmart’s mission of delivering robust and efficient payment solutions for millions of Marketplace sellers.
