Define RF architecture for reference board, create schematics, component selection, supervise layout, EM simulations, board bring up and link budget analysis • Work with radio, systems and FW team for chip bring-up and evaluate BT/WLAN performance • Debug various RF Issues and Co-existence/RSDB / leakage issues on chip and module • Review module block diagram, schematic and layout design from customer and provide timely design feedback • Work with vendors for FEM development, provide specifications and evaluate performance • HFSS 3D simulations to find S-parameters of RF traces and isolation between critical circuit paths. Perform IR drop simulations • Impedance matching between Broadcom chip and PA/ LNA/ Filter/ Switch/ Splitter to optimize BT and WLAN RF parameters such as TX power, EVM, PSAT, ACLR, Harmonics, Sensitivity • Perform load-pull at chip-out/PA-out to find optimum impedance for matching purpose • Circuit level simulations using ADS tool to find matching LC values and do cascade analysis
