I have had the pleasure of working at the number one cable news network for the past 13 years, growing my role from executive assistant to a vice president and anchor to working for Special Report, the top-rated cable news program in its time slot and consistently one of the top four shows in cable news.My day-to-day responsibilities vary, but I currently manage several high-profile Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts as well as blogs and websites. I work to incorporate social media into the nightly broadcast, increase the number of interactions, monitor SEO and maintain unique posts.I attend daily pitch meetings and assist show producers in on-air story development as well as producing in the field for Special Report. I have a passion for social media and I believe it to be instrumental to all brands, companies and individuals seeking to market themselves and/or products. The future is digital and I want to stay on top of trends and continue to learn and grow from those around me as well as teach others what I have learned along the way. I have seen how social media has influenced news outlets and how more and more people around the globe turn to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter for the news. I enjoy my job and my responsibilities and I continue to find ways to improve my skills in the realm of social media management, reporting, and in working with a team at a top company. In my spare time I enjoy being with family (both my brother and sister live in DC), traveling, a great barre or spin workout class, and exploring Washington, DC and surrounding towns in search of a great winery or historical place I didn\'t even know existed.
