Katya Shmorhun is a junior studying Art History and Political Science at Barnard College of Columbia University. As a double major, her interests are fundamentally intersectional, addressing the impact of art institutions on culture. In the future, she plans on attending law school in order to apply her passion for creative freedom to the law. She hopes to use her education to advocate for artists and the arts in general. In her free time, she edits the Columbia Journal of Art History and develops the curriculum for Meet Me at the Museum, a club dedicated to providing accessible arts education for underprivileged middle and high schools.
