AML MRD - Section Leadership & Clinical Service Delivery• Lead daily operations of the AML MRD section, ensuring operational efficiency, business continuity, and that all KPIs and turnaround times areconsistently met.• Conducted a successful quality improvement project that resulted in sustained KPI compliance over the last 5 months.• Authorise, analyse, and report AML MRD qPCR assays in accordance with clinical protocols and international guidelines.• Analysis of Sanger sequencing results to support rare case diagnostics and assay development.• Ensure full compliance with EQA and IQC standards, contributing to service reliability and accreditation readiness.• Investigate quality incidents (CA/PAs), lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve service delivery.• Represent the lab in national and international AML MRD working groups and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.NGS Panel Implementation & Innovation• Led validation and phased implementation of the OncoDEEP comprehensive NGS panel for solid tumour diagnostic profiling.• Oversaw option appraisal and validation of HRD testing, ensuring clinical readiness and staff competency.• Develop a strong collaborative relationship with the provider• Analysis and reporting of different NGS platforms used in the lab for solid tumour diagnosis.Team Leadership, Training & Development• Line manage a multidisciplinary team, including scientists and trainees; provided mentoring, performance reviews and development planning.• Designed and implemented a cross-training programme to build resilience and broaden staff skillsets across the team.• Promote continuous learning.Quality Management & Governance• Active involvement in lab-wide quality monitoring, document control, and readiness for UKAS inspections.• Participate in recruitment and interview processes to ensure high-calibre staffing.
