About Katya Alexander
I am a multi-award-winning producer who aspires to define comedy for this generation. Having studied comedy my whole life, I believe that it is a powerful tool for relaying important and difficult messages. I\'ve produced documentaries and dramas, and with my SXSW award-winning film, Pretty Problems, have found the type of project that I love. Producing is about identifying projects with a heart, protecting and amplifying that heart, and organizing sets to allow creatives to focus on the message. The core of my profession is to create a positive atmosphere where the cast and crew are taken care of. I take pride in anticipating roadblocks and solving problems creatively. My mission is to move the industry to be better for the people working in it while making compelling projects.
