About Katy Miller
I have worked with local leaders to design and implement innovative solutions to housing, homelessness, and other challenging issues facing communities for almost three decades. My career is focused on strengthening communities and building strong systems that ensure that vulnerable populations succeed. I help plan and set strategy based on evidence and data and have many years of experience managing complex grants/ contracts and measuring success across programs and teams. For 13 years, I led high-performing teams to maximize local, state, and federal funding. As a public and private funder, I formed partnerships with a range of stakeholders and leveraged millions in funding and services to make a deep impact locally. This work helped to pave the way for families and individuals to find stability. In my most recent role as Senior Regional Advisor on the National Initiatives Team at the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), I worked across the Western U.S. with elected officials and local leaders to implement best practice solutions to homelessness and act as a bridge to the policy work that was taking place in Washington D.C. among the council’s 19 federal member agencies. USICH is responsible for coordinating the federal response to homelessness.
