After a 27 year career with the National Trust, Head Conservator for the last 14, I am now an independent practitioner with expertise in preventive conservation, conservation management, remedial conservation, wall painting conservation, and heritage science across all these areas, serving as an NHSF trustee until this year. I am also interested in conservation ethics, teaching, and professional accreditation, having served as a member and then Chair of Icon\'s PACR Accreditation Committee, and presented and published in many of these areas.
