About Katy Caldwell
I have significant experience guiding clients through complex litigation in state and federal courts around the country. My practice includes a wide array of industries: I\'ve represented medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, investment advisers, health care providers, national retailers, academic institutions, and other clients in civil litigation. I\'ve successfully leveraged my broad experience to advise clients on effective trial and discovery strategy. I also counsel clients on anticipating litigation-related issues in the context of structuring complex transactions, and on managing compliance risks related to federal campaign finance laws and regulations.I am deeply committed to pro bono and public service. Pro bono work has always been an important part of my practice, and has included class action litigation on behalf of participants in the Massachusetts Emergency Assistance shelter program; and drafting amicus briefs on behalf of nonprofit organizations (including the ACLU, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers). I\'m passionate about children\'s literacy issues, and I serve on the Board of Directors of Raising a Reader - Massachusetts and have volunteered in early literacy-related programs for nearly two decades. I have been recognized as among the “Ones to Watch” by The Best Lawyers in America in each year since 2021.
