Working on Enterprise Architecture from the past 10 years. In this journey, I was instrumental in designing the Enterprise Architecture organization at U. S. Steel. Worked with executive team and internal teams to define the strategy. Conducted analyses of business architecture models using the principles from DoDAF. Defined the Target Technical Architecture and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems. Introduced a U.S. Steel Reference Architecture using proven best practices. The Reference Architecture supports 350+ Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) & ERP developers. Introduced Service Oriented Architecture and SOA Governance. Managed the completion of the U.S. Steel Outside Processing Initiative (steeltrack.uss.com), Managed the security framework delivery using OWASP framework for Java and Microsoft technologies. Overseeing the Digitization Initiatives, which includes Asset Inspection Process. This initiative was designed to go digital by eliminating the paper, increasing the accountability and reducing the overall maintenance from 22 days to couple of hours. Total cost savings of $ 10 M over two years. Data synced in real time to help make decisions faster and reduce unplanned outages. Developed Mobile Application for commercial entities for U.S.Steel customers and internal sales teams. In the process of transformation defined Digitization strategy for Enterprise, which includes Sales Force evaluation, Oracle and other custom solution evaluation. Leading the Application Rationalization by executing IT rationalization across the Enterprise Applications teams. Identified opportunity to reduce the applications foot print by 50% with an estimated saving of $4 M per year. The effort is greatly helping the Cloud initiatives and sever consolidation into virtual servers.
