WORK HISTORY
Lead Qa Engineer @Co–Star
As the first QA on staff, created and implemented overall quality strategy for native mobile apps on both iOS and Android. Shifted testing left from an ad-hoc release process with daily smoke testing in production and relying on beta testers to identify bugs, to a consistent release process with test planning and execution for new features, test automation, and documentation to define and create alignment around bug severity levels.• Collaborated with lead iOS developer to build a UI test framework using Swift and XCUITest. Implemented a suite of over 60 automated UI tests for regression testing using Page Object Model.• Established and guided a consistent weekly release process alongside engineering manager and developers. Later, built an automated weekly release pipeline using fastlane and Bitrise.• Revitalized the beta program, not only increasing the average amount of feedback sent by beta testers by 331% over one year, but also ensuring that it was higher quality, more actionable feedback than in the previous iteration.• Conducted functional, exploratory, end-to-end, accessibility, and regression testing. Raised and filed bugs and provided input for product owners on risk. Led risk assessment process for existing features with input from lead developers and product owners, and used that to create a regression test suite and prioritize test cases. To scale testing for large feature releases, created thorough test plans and organized company-wide bug bashes.• Facilitated weekly bug triage meeting with developers, engineering manager, product owners, and CX staff to prioritize both known bugs in backlog and emergent issues.

SKILLS
ABOUT KAT SELVOCKI
I\'ve always approached tasks with a testing mindset-even if I didn\'t realize it at the time. I particularly honed those skills as a yoga teacher, as I worked with such a broad range of people and body types, and my goal was always to help them find the best feeling of each pose in their own body. I asked a lot of,\"What happens if you try this?\" type questions, which led to my students feeling less physical pain both in class and out, and having a more positive experience of movement overall. When I started working at Salesforce, I was able to combine that testing mindset with my ever-growing technical skill set to be part of a team building products for non-profit organizations. I love collaborating with engineering, product, and UX within a scrum team to produce an excellent customer experience. I\'ve spent the past three years immersed in myriad aspects of testing (including manual, exploratory, accessibility, cross-browser, functional, regression, end-to-end, smoke, automation, and mobile), sprint ceremonies, Git/GitHub, Robot Framework, Python, and CumulusCI, among other things. I\'ve participated in defining acceptance criteria, test strategy and planning, debugging, and filing and tracking bugs. I\'m adaptable, enthusiastic, and a fast learner, and I\'m most excited about the intersection of technology and social good!GitHub: https://github.com/kselvockiTrailhead: https://trailblazer.me/id/kselvocki
