ABOUT KATRIN PATTERSON
Implementation-focused public health practitioner specializing in maternal health and early childhood systems. Over the past decade, I have helped local and state partners move from ideas and plans to concrete changes in how services are organized, funded, and delivered. My strengths are facilitating candid conversations, making complex systems feel understandable, and guiding teams through structured problem-solving and process improvement. I work best in close partnership with a small team of practitioners and leaders, where we can build trust, think out loud together, and test practical solutions. Experience includes designing and managing multi-site initiatives, supporting cross-agency collaboratives, and translating evidence and policy into tools, workflows, and implementation guides. Colleagues often tap me to- map current-state processes and pain points - facilitate strategy and brainstorming sessions - co-design implementation roadmaps with clear roles, timelines, and feedback loops - coach local teams through early tests of change and course corrections I am especially interested in projects that- focus on maternal health, prenatal-to-three, and behavioral health systems - require thoughtful collaboration across public health, human services, community-based organizations, and finance partners - value depth of partnership and learning over performative gestures Open to implementation consulting roles (staff or 1099) with mission-driven organizations, collaboratives, and public agencies that want a thoughtful, practice-oriented partner to help turn strategy into day-to-day operations.
