About Katrina Shawver
Katrina is an experienced writer, speaker, and author. She loves to use her innate curiosity to provoke thought and find untold stories. Her award-winning nonfiction book,\"Henry: A Polish Swimmer\'s True Story of Friendship from Auschwitz to America\" is available in English, Polish, and Czech. She spent many years researching World War II, Poland, and the Holocaust. Katrina is a seasoned Toastmaster and a Road Scholar for Arizona Humanities, the Arizona affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities for 20••••21. Recipient 2018 Polish Heritage Award from the Polish American Congress - Arizona Division. She served as the Writer in Residence two years in a row for Glendale Public Library in Arizona. Her experiences have taught her the power of resilience, the importance of kindness, and true leadership begins with saying Yes to opportunity. Katrina lives in Phoenix Arizona.
