ABOUT KATRINA INGRAM

Ethically Aligned AI is built on a foundation of my over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles primarily in the technology and media sectors. My journey into artificial intelligence and ethics started in 2018 when I went back to grad school. I attended a talk with a prominent AI researcher who shared concerns about how some artificial intelligence was being built and deployed in ways that are unethical and harmful. That led to research focused on understanding the ethical choices of AI developers and testing various ethics tools to help improve the development process. The organization has its roots in my graduate research. TRAINING - Build AI literacy skills with our ethics first approach. We develop bespoke training for organizations and work with training delivery partners including LinkedIn Learning, DATAVERSITY and Athabasca University PowerED to deliver our courses. SPEAKING - Impactful presentations about Responsible AI and Data Ethics. I\'ve delivered hundreds of talks to a wide range of audiences including boards of directors, management, technologists and the general public. CONSULTING - Expertise and guidance to operationalize AI. Our work is informed by an interdisciplinary (STS) approach and is grounded in academic research. It\'s also informed by relevant legal frameworks and our own 4C\'s: Context, Culture, Content and Commitment.Katrina Ingram is a leading expert and advisor in responsible AI governance and data ethics with over two decades of experience in the technology and media sectors. Named one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics, Katrina has served as the City of Edmonton\'s Data Ethics Advisor, is a member of the Calgary Police Services Technology Ethics Committee and adjunct faculty with the University of Alberta.
