ABOUT KATRINA MYERS
I am an established problem solver with the unique ability to keep the “big picture” in mind and also jump into the details seamlessly. I am a water resources engineer, Professional Engineer (P.E.), Salesforce administrator, Salesforce architect (with clicks, not code), Google Workspace super admin, system security manager, requirements-gatherer, facilitator, project manager, budget manager, process and data pro.I started my career as a water resources engineer, working for more than 6 years in engineering consulting, working mainly on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Studies - including riverine hydrology and hydraulics as well as coastal wave modeling. During this time, I volunteered extensively with Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA), a nonprofit working on basic infrastructure projects in developing countries as well as infrastructure projects for underserved communities in the U.S. I traveled internationally to work on water supply projects; served as a mentor to several student teams; served as a project lead; drove the formation of a local professional chapter and rose to high-level regional leadership. In 2015, I joined staff at EWB-USA as a Project Engineer, reviewing and approving volunteer engineering designs. Within 6 months, I began to find my niche: spearheading improvement of our organization’s systems and processes. This work began with streamlining our engineering submittal process from emailed documents manually tracked in spreadsheets to an automated system using Salesforce Experience Cloud. From there, I moved into my current role, where I address any and all sticky and difficult system, process, and data issues. I consolidated all systems, hardware, and software management within the organization, including management of a $400k+ annual department budget, and formation of a cross-department working group to make decisions related to systems and processes. I achieved significant cost savings and supervised consultants, projects, and system procurement. I have streamlined all things system and process over the years, including:1. Leading the development, maintenance, and periodic new releases of Volunteer Village, EWB-USA’s Salesforce Experience Cloud portal for active volunteer users.2. Implementing the Salesforce Service Cloud to move all volunteer-facing content into Salesforce Knowledge and creating an email and self-service support case ticketing process.3. Leading the migration of all fundraising data and processes from Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
