As a member of the Design Management Leadership team I both manage a product aligned team and focus on process creation and improvements for our Design and Customer Experience (DCE) team. As part of my partnership with the Head of Design for Wealth Management I maintain transparency to the book of work for his portfolio, provide resource allocation to finance partners, work with recruiting and hiring managers on headcount management, provide visibility to the org structure and span of control, while making recommendations for structure and location strategy, ensure process guidance and adherence by larger product design team, maintain reporting cadence for work delivered, highlighting impact to customers and the firm. As part of my process improvement role I work with senior leadership across Design, Product, Tech and Data & Analytics to customize our product development lifecycle to include the most impactful design activities and artifacts in order to produce products that customers will engage with and adopt as part of managing their finances. While at J.P. Morgan Chase I have partnered with many of our product areas including; Auto Lending, Home Lending, Credit Card, Digital Channels, Connected Commerce, Consumer Banking and now Wealth Management. Understanding how our product offering benefits our customers makes me a better leader and more effective partner to the Heads of Design that I work with. I enjoy coaching and mentoring those on the Design Management and Operations team and spend time coaching the team on our practices and ways of working.
