About Kato
My interests are in technologies that are fueled by traditional areas of mathematics and computer science and their advanced counterparts such as Mathematical Modeling and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. This leads to my passion of applicable technology such as mobile payments used for transit, travel, and identification.My current goal is to find opportunities to apply mathematics first-hand, whether it is object oriented programming (Python, C++, Java), database knowledge (Oracle SQL), or something new altogether.My long-term goal is higher education in mathematics; however, I want to explore and gain industry experience as it will maximize my teaching style and impact in higher education. That is, not to create mathematicians through my teaching and experience; moreover, to create analytical thinkers and problem solvers in their own respective fields.
