ABOUT KATIE TIMMS

Katie Timms is a Master\'s student in the Public Relations and Corporate Communications program at New York University with an expected graduation date of May 2026. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma in May 2024, where she majored in public relations and double minored in business and Spanish. During her time at OU, she was the research director for the University of Oklahoma\'s student-led public relations and advertising agency, Lindsey & Asp, where she oversaw seven research directors to analyze the most efficient methods of target audience outreach for brands like Sonic Hard Seltzers, Poppi and Donatos. Katie is motivated to cultivate transformative public relations campaigns that elevate the integrity of brands through strategic planning, data analysis and in-depth research. As exemplified through her extracurriculars, Katie has expertise in team management, leadership skills and effective group collaboration skills. This summer, she received a Certification of the Principles in Public Relations from the PRSA Universal Accreditation Board. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of External Relations for NYU\'s Public Relations League, and connects with industry professionals to create meaningful networking events for NYU PRL members. When Katie isn’t in the classroom or at club meetings, you can find her reading a trendy new book or taking a walk through Central Park with her friends.
