About Katie Kapusta

I am a MMJ/Sports Reporter with Spectrum News 1 Ohio, an all-Ohio news channel. I am the main sports reporter for the channel, covering OSU Football since 2019. I have also covered the Bengals, Reds, FC Cincinnati, Columbus Crew, as well as plenty of OHSAA stories-including sideline reporting OHSAA basketball and football state championships. I create character-driven stories and focus on small business stories for my beat. I am responsible for pitching stories, producing several stories a week, setting up interviews, filming b-roll and interviews, editing, writing and posting on web and social media. I am proficient and experienced with Adobe Premiere, Edius, Final Cut Pro, ENPS and Live U. I also have a passion and love for sports and sharing the stories beyond the x\'s and o\'s and giving fans behind the scenes access to their favorite players and teams. I am an Indiana University graduate with a major in Journalism in the Media School with specializations in broadcast and sports media as well as minors in marketing and entrepreneurship from the Kelley School of Business.
