As an Events Intern for Dinkytown Athletes, I work alongside co-founder Derek Burns, the University’s Director of Special Events, and the intern coordinator to organize a variety of events for members, donors, and athletes. Recently, I supported the planning and execution of Dinkytown Athletes\' largest event of the year, a summer barbecue at Huntington Bank Stadium with about 300 attendees. My responsibilities included selecting the venue, coordinating catering and menu options, designing the event layout, and managing setup and teardown. I also organized the merchandise for giveaways, registered attendees on-site, and handled logistics to ensure a seamless event. Additionally, I assist with securing venues, arranging event activities, managing budgets, and overseeing public relations to promote Dinkytown Athletes\' Name, Image, and Likeness initiatives.
