ABOUT KATHERINE G. BROUN
In fourth grade, I participated in an invention convention where I sat at a table learning about Biomedical Engineering for the first time. From that day forward, I knew my lifelong desire for learning would never end. Ever since that day I have been telling people that I wanted to be a Biomedical Engineer. Although fifth grade me was made fun of for this or many adults would say, “What even is that?”, my dream has come into fruition, filled with research, new course work, and building a foundation to continue to learn more about the vast field of BME. I am excited to grow my skills and search for new opportunities, so if you’re interested in sharing skills, learning more about optics, or many more then let’s connect! Specialties: Laboratory techniques including wet and dry biology skill, physics laboratory skills, physical and geometric optics skills, Microsoft and Google Suites, Video production skills, Crisis Management and First Aid, organization, a happy attitude and a smile!
