I am passionate about the art, science and business of construction; central to my professional purpose and career satisfaction are successful projects, owners and contractors. Comfortable with organized chaos, I enjoy the challenges inherent to construction management – this is my tribe. My method of operation can be summed up as trusted adviser, multi-disciplined problem solver, tactful fire extinguisher, and critical-thinking fact-finder. My career has been dedicated to successful construction businesses and projects. I have more than 18 years of experience in the coordination of commercial construction projects in the $500k to single-project-value range. Most of my construction experience has been with established local primes / commercial general contractors ($5m -$45 million annual revenues), reporting to company principal(s), in roles ranging from project coordinator to contracts administrator to assistant project manager to project manager/estimator to executive officer. Most positions held also included lead responsibilities in marketing, project pursuits and government proposal execution, as well as general business management functions. Furthering my utility player experience, I have spent the last several years in a peculiar combination role of functional controller, project manager, vice president and whatever-it-takes at the trade subcontractor level.
