ABOUT KATIE BIGGERSTAFF

Manager with five years of experience working within the DAI Global UK Business Development and Economic Growth and Climate team. I serve as a Bid Manager in this role, working on £multi-million new business opportunities for clients such as the FCDO, SDC, GIZ, and the World Bank. Additionally, I am a Project Manager for the Macroeconomic Advisory Support for the Government of Jordan Programme. While my academic background is in economic growth and trade, I have also been responsible for leading bidding opportunities focused on social protection, investment and trade, agriculture and food systems, business-enabling environment, and low carbon development. Furthermore, I bring specialist skills in managing complex multidisciplinary frameworks, having overseen DAI’s proposal efforts for the Expert Advisory Call-Down Service Lot 4: Climate Change, Nature, and Global Health and the Global Development Delivery Framework Lots 1-7 (both of which we were successful on).Refined expertise in managing numerous bids, various teams, and partner organisations. I have a strong skill set in managing technical writers (internal and external), recruitment efforts, overseeing compliance, partner onboarding and working as the central point for all members of the team. I managed communication with over 100 partners across two technical Lots in a pre-live and bidding opportunity. Experience in proposal writing, project design, and client compliance while maintaining and enhancing relationships with clients, partners and other stakeholders.
