ABOUT KATIE ZIESMAN

I’m a versatile and passionate animal health professional with a career spanning veterinary software, practice management, training, and business ownership. After years supporting fast-paced hospitals—from general practice to specialty and emergency care—I took the leap into ownership and spent several years building, operating, and eventually selling a successful veterinary hospital from the ground up.As an owner-operator, I wore every hat: leading a growing team, managing finances and HR, navigating compliance, implementing new systems, and ensuring an exceptional client and patient experience—all while adapting daily to the fast-paced, high-stakes world of veterinary care. That experience gave me not only a deep understanding of the operational and emotional sides of the industry, but also a strong foundation in leadership, strategy, and problem-solving.Alongside hospital leadership, I’ve partnered with clinics across the U.S. and Canada as a veterinary software specialist, built and delivered training programs, supported cross-functional teams in large organizations, and developed tools and optimized workflows that help practices thrive. Whether in sales, implementation, or management, I bring a strong mix of hands-on experience, attention to detail, and big-picture thinking to every role.Now that I’ve sold my hospital, I’m ready for the next chapter. I’m especially interested in opportunities in software implementation and training, program or team management, or sales—roles where I can continue making an impact through people, technology, and purpose-driven work.Whether it’s building something new or improving what’s already there, I’m happiest when I’m helping teams succeed—and having a little fun along the way.
