Katie Van Horn has extensive experience in the clean energy sector, specializing in strategic program management, product development, and regulatory and financial strategy for renewable energy solutions. Currently serving as a Strategic Programs Manager on IGS Solar\'s Residential Finance and Asset Management team, Katie is responsible for shaping and executing critical aspects of the company\'s solar strategy, including market analysis, product design, regulatory engagement, and financial modeling. Her expertise supports the development of innovative clean energy solutions that align with industry trends and customer needs.With extensive experience at IGS Energy and ICF, Katie has led projects ranging from virtual power plant development to advanced distributed energy resource (DER) integration for utilities. Notable accomplishments include managing pilots and programs leveraging customer-sited clean energy technologies, crafting regulatory frameworks for cost-effective solutions, and contributing to the evolution of business models in the solar and storage sectors.    Responsible for owning critical aspects of IGS Solar’s strategy formulation & execution. Perform market analysis and research, design new products, inform regulatory strategy, manage relationships with external and internal partners, and develop financial models using comprehensive knowledge of the Residential Solar industry and the factors that influence it- Manage IGS Solar’s proprietary pricing models and strategy across over distinct market, product, and pricing tier configurations. Track and model economic factors that impact solar and storage project finance, and work with business development and executive teams to design pricing that reflects top-level business objectives- Utilize expertise in power markets and load management program design to design and execute IGS Solar’s battery VPP strategy. Identify and due diligence VPP program opportunities, interface with technology partners and OEMs to establish pathways to participation, and design customer and EPC-facing products that share value generated from VPPs across the IGS partner ecosystem- Research and develop novel project finance products for residential solar and storage- Designed and implemented IGS Solar\'s residential battery storage lease product. Performed economic and market analysis to determine product financing structure, determined market fit and program requirements, and qualified partners and key markets to ensure successful launch- Created processes and pricing strategy to capture domestic content bonus ITC adders and pass value through to EPC partners, enabling the deployment of over 54 MW of domestically produced solar systems in 2025.
