ABOUT KATIE TIMMERMAN
Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a people-first operator and strategic communicator who thrives in the messy middle where strategy meets execution and empathy meets efficiency. Whether I’m building a process from scratch, leading a cross-functional project, writing a message that actually connects with its intended audience, or building a team, I bring forward motion, attention to detail, and a whole lotta care to what I do.Professionally, I\'ve spent the last decade operating at the intersection of strategic communications, business operations, and organizational leadership. I\'ve worked inside startups, academia, and small businesses — supporting and extending the capacity of CEOs, deans, and entrepreneurs — and led initiatives that turn ambiguity into measurable business results. I don\'t just help set the strategy. I stay close to the execution details that bring it to life (and actually love it!), and I\'m at my best when I\'m close to the leadership making the big calls. What I\'ve come to understand about myself as an operator is that I\'m wired to make leaders and organizations more effective. I easily translate vision into action, protect what matters most from the noise, and create the conditions for teams to do their best work. That instinct — to be the connective tissue between strategy and the people executing it — is what draws me toward senior operating roles, particularly inside organizations where the stakes are real and the work is personal.Personally, words have always been one of my favorite tools for connection. Ever since I was a little girl, I\'ve always been fascinated by the power of written and spoken communication. I loved writing handwritten letters to friends and family, diagramming sentences in English class (nerd alert), expressing my opinion with letters to the editor of the local newspaper, writing columns for my high school newsletter, and journaling to my heart\'s content. I’ve seen how intentional, human-centered communication builds trust, sparks new connections, strengthens relationships, and ultimately makes a tangible impact on families, society, and businesses alike.
