ABOUT KATIE THORNTON
My name is Katie Thornton and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR trained therapist, licensed in Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Maine, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Texas and Wyoming and credentialed with over 50 insurance carriers. I have extensive experience working with individuals, families, and groups through a variety of challenging circumstances. I believe that change happens when people are given the support they need to draw on their strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling and happy lives. I provide both counseling and assessment services for children, adolescents, adults, and veterans. I approach both services as healing processes, helping answer deep-seated questions that individuals might have. I also specialize in veteran-specific conditions and has extensive experience writing nexus letters to support Veteran Affairs compensation claims.
