Katie is a Principal Associate in the Financial Services team at Eversheds Sutherland, specialising in authorised funds. She advises clients on the authorisation of new funds (including ACS and PAIF structures), variations to existing fund specifications, mergers, re-constructions and fund terminations. She has a particular focus on ESG funds and authorised funds which invest in more illiquid asset classes. As part of her role, she advises clients on a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues under the FCA Rules. Recent experience includes advising clients on how to comply with UCITS V, MiFID II and the outcomes of the FCA\'s Asset Management Market Study. She also has experience of corporate transactions in the financial services sector, as well as related commercial agreements. Katie has been on secondment to AXA Investment Managers. At AXA IM she assisted with their application to the FCA for authorisation under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and a subsequent business re-organisation in order to comply with the requirements of the AIFMD.
