Specialist in sexual violence and abuse against women and girls, with over 20 years\' diverse experience of media and communications, organisational development, management, governance and leadership, income generation and training within the Rape Crisis movement and wider voluntary and community sector.In September 2021, Katie returned to the local Rape Crisis charity she co-founded in 2008, Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL), to take on the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).Katie aims to live out her activism, intersectional feminist values and creativity through her day-to-day work. As well as her role as CEO at SARSVL, she\'s a committed Trustee of Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (PAFRAS), and is currently writing her first novel.
