The LEAH Project is a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), college access, and career readiness program for Boston area youth typically underrepresented in STEM fields. LEAH’s mission is to promote the power of youth, especially Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) youth, to diversify the STEM fields. Main responsibilities as Senior Program Manager include- Lead and oversee five programs for Boston-area youth underrepresented in STEM fields, including three paid science internships, and the College Readiness and College Persistence Programs- Supervise and mentor three program managers, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of all programming- Manage and optimize a $1 million budget to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the programs- Partner with local universities and biotech companies to develop paid lab internships and other opportunities to expose youth to various career paths in STEM- Collaborate with a third-party Research & Evaluation team to design and implement comprehensive evaluation strategies, assess short- and long-term outcomes, and develop a variety of evaluation tools- Contribute to project development and fundraising efforts by providing data-driven insights and statistics to illustrate the project’s impact in grant proposals and reports.
