Senior member of the TFBI training team, including training new guides, writing and updating training manual. Featured on the BBC\'s \'Stories of Us\', Episode 4, in August 2020, with Rev. Kate Bottley.TFBI has added enhanced sensory exercises & meditations, emphasises the quality of woodland, and aims ultimately to replicate some of the existing science in a UK setting, to create Forest Bathing+, which helps promote mindfulness, and reconnecting your body and mind to nature. Evidence suggests that Forest Bathing can:• lower blood pressure,• decrease stress,• improve cardiovascular & metabolic health,• reduce blood-sugar levels,• enhance concentration and memory,• lift depression,• lead to better pain management,• increase energy,• boost the immune system by increasing the body’s natural killer (NK) cell count,• increases anti-cancer protein production,• facilitate weight loss.
