ABOUT KATIE ROBERTSON

Currently shaping and managing international research policy and strategy for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), with a focus on North America and the Indo-Pacific. My role involves cultivating strategic bilateral relationships with key global partners to address shared health priorities. I also lead the development and management of NIHR\'s global mental health and climate and health portfolios, fostering collaborations with major funders and across government to drive impactful outcomes in low- and middle-income countries.With over seven years\' experience in global health, I have held pivotal roles in managing complex, multimillion-pound projects, including a major adolescent sexual and reproductive health initiative and a large-scale antimicrobial resistance project.My expertise lies in navigating the intersection of policy, research, and global health to drive sustainable outcomes and improve health and wellbeing on a global scale.Key Areas of Expertise- International research policy and strategy development- Strategic partnership building and stakeholder engagement- Global mental health and climate change & health- Global health programme managementI hold an MSc in Global Health and Development (Distinction) from University College London and a BA in Modern Languages (First Class) from the University of Cambridge.
