ABOUT KATIE PROTHEROE
Eastern Green Link 1 Senior Project Manager, primarily managing construction and commissioning of the North HVDC Convertor Station. I previously worked as Project Lead for Osbit working on offshore wind installation equipment. Having managed: foundation installation systems, pre-piling templates, and other offshore equipment from design and manufacturing to testing, mobilisation, and commissioning. I previously led the Venterra group STEM Programme. I am passionate about giving young people access to and visibility of STEM, as well as addressing the perception of Engineering to tackle the diversity deficit in the industry.I hold a Mechanical Engineering BEng First Class Honours from Newcastle University and was awarded Young Employee of the Year, 2023, by Rotary International.
