ABOUT KATIE OROSS

I have always had a keen passion for storytelling and often chalk up my charismatic and engaging personality to my ability to paint a picture using phrase. The right sequence of words can immediately captivate an audience. This passion for words would eventually take me to the University of Oregon where I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts focused in Journalism specifically Public Relations. I knew I enjoyed strategic storytelling that built brand awareness. I have had opportunities interning at multiple public relations agencies representing many industries including lifestyle, technology, finance, telecommunications, and healthcare. These agency experiences taught me how to maneuver in fast paced workplaces that thrive on embracing innovative thoughts, collaborating with your colleagues and prioritizing deadlines, all skills that I continue to sharpen every day.I most recently spent time at WeWork where, while switching gears from my traditional PR background, I found a company culture that resonated with my personal values and an opportunity to pave my own road with an incredible team of innovators. My time at WeWork introduced me to the ins and outs of community operations and helped me develop an excitement for project management and how I could excel strategically organizing the moving parts that went into the massive projects that took place in the almost 100 year old building I was based at.All in all, I have a passion for community, story telling, project coordination, and opportunities to bring my charismatic and detail-oriented mindset to the table. I have always had an ambitious mentality and often look for areas to contribute my expertise and background to make systems and processes better and more efficient.
