ABOUT KATIE NESTER
As the Director of Outreach and Donor Relations at Fort Lewis College, I leverage my MA in Psychology and my expertise in fundraising and communication to advance the college\'s mission and vision. I have over 19 years of work experience in higher education, including almost two years in Advancement with a focus in communications and strategic planning and development, eight years as the Associate Director of Admission and 10 years in Academic Advising, including a director role. I use my writing skills to craft compelling stories and proposals that attract and retain donors, as well as to communicate the college\'s impact and achievements to various audiences. I also collaborate with the leadership team, the faculty, the staff, and the alumni to foster a culture of philanthropy and engagement.
