About Katie Neibauer
Katie Neibauer is a graduate of William Penn University, with a degree in Digital Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. After graduating in December of 2012, Katie left the small-town Oskaloosa lifestyle for the big city of Des Moines. Katie currently is working for the Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines as the Director of Events & Partnerships. She develops and manages the HomeShowExpo, Home & Remodeling Show, Spring and Fall Metro Showcase’s, Tour of Remodeled Homes, social events and general membership meetings. Coordinates and executes the public relations and communications programs and activities of the association to further the mission and public knowledge of the association.Before joining DSMHBA in February of 2022, Katie worked for WHO13 as an Account Executive, where she generated advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and convincing potential clients of the merits of television and digital advertising. Prior to that she worked for the Iowa Events Center, where she was responsible for marketing, promoting and selling tickets to events at Wells Fargo Arena and the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. Katie also explored new opportunities to increase revenue and exposure in the marketplace, performed public relations for family shows and Management Company, and co-managed all venue social media channels. Katie is an Iowa native who teaches Power Sculpt and F.I.T. at Power Life, loves spending time with her family and dog Norah, and biking the beautiful trails that this wonderful state provides.
