About Katie Kroft
Through the Accelerated Master\'s Program, I graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama with my bachelor\'s degree in history and political science in 2022 and my master\'s degree in public administration in 2023. Fascinated by the intersection of gender justice and employment law, I wrote my undergraduate honors thesis on the history of the gender wage gap and later served as a social science research intern with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Through a policy research scholarship awarded by the MPA program, I continued investigating the impact of state-level wage transparency laws on measures of gender equality, employing my findings to argue for proposals that equalize economic opportunities for working women. At Yale Law School, I plan to further these interests in women\'s rights, economic justice, and antidiscrimination law through a career in civil rights litigation or legal academia.
